A52 Wyvern

 A52Bridge

D2N2 is delighted to have invested £6.7m from the Local Growth Fund into the A52 Wyvern Way Improvements.

The A52 road linking Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire providing routes to the nearby Derby city centre and Pride Park business park, as well as to the M1 motorway and wider roads network.

As a consequence, the road experiences high volumes of traffic with 73,000 vehicles using it daily.

In order to alleviate the resultant congestion, the improvements to the infrastructure of the road will widen the A52 around Wyvern Way and install new signalling at the junction.

In addition to those improvements, the finished junction will also benefit from a range of new facilities including: extra lanes; a new footbridge; realigned access to and from Wyvern/Pride Park and the A52; improvements to Pullman Road, Stanier Way roundabout, and the entrance to Wyvern Way Business park; and shared use pedestrian and cycle paths, as well as resurfacing, replacement safety barriers, and bus priority detectors.
