D2N2 is delighted to be investing £4.48 million from the Local Growth Fund into the Vesuvius Scheme on the former Vesuvius Brickworks site ear Sandy Lane, Worksop.

Redevelopment of the Brownfield site includes a major new roundabout at the entrance to the site, an access road into the site, and remediation of the whole site ready for development.

The redeveloped site could provide 36,700 sqm (395,000 sqft) of new employment floorspace with the potential to accommodate a significant number of new net additional jobs within the D2N2 LEP economy.

As part of the new development, Asda will open a 70,000 superstore on-site in January 2020 complete with petrol station, which will create 200 new retail jobs.

The development will also include additional small commercial units on-site delivering retail and leisure opportunities plus further units for SMEs.
