Midland Mainline

D2N2 is proud to have invested £5million of Local Growth Funding into the upgrading of the Market Harborough section of the Midland Mainline.

The 'Market Harborough Line Speed Improvement Project', enables trains to travel on the Midland Main Line at higher speeds. Network Rail have installed almost two miles of track in a new, straighter alignment as well as new signalling equipment.
