The D2N2 Growth Hub

Since its launch in December 2014 the D2N2 Growth Hub has dealt with more than 4,500 businesses. It provides a ‘one stop shop’ for ambitious new and developing businesses looking for advice on training, growth, and how to access funding help to expand into fresh markets.

Growth Hub advisors work within the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP). The LEP is a private sector-led partnership between business, local authorities, skills and training providers, and community and voluntary organisations, which promotes economic growth and jobs creation in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

D2N2 Growing Places Fund

D2N2’s Growing Places Fund provides loans to individual companies or organisations - of between £250,000 and £2million - to finance capital (building and infrastructure) investment, which will directly lead to business growth and jobs creation.

The LEP has seen four 'Rounds' of Growing Places Fund investment, with the latest (Round 4) launching in summer 2016 and still operational.

Funded projects must be located within D2N2 LEP’s area, covered by the administrative boundaries of Derby City, Derbyshire County, Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County local authorities.

Higher Education Institutions have a key role in supporting business growth through the provision of highly skilled graduates, training and development research, technology transfer and supporting innovations and other services.
