The purpose of this workshop was to provide local authority staff with an understanding of how our current contracted provision will operate at a local authority level, including district level. All current contracted ESF providers (excluding Nottingham YEI providers) gave a presentation on their priorities for delivery, learner journeys, employer engagement strategies (where appropriate) and links with other programmes. The event gave an overview of the network of ESF provision in D2N2 and provided opportunities to make supporting connections between providers and local authorities.

D2N2 Rural Means Business Conference 2017

Wednesday 15 February 2017

For rural businesses, support agencies and public bodies to find out more about the provision that is available to boost the D2N2 Rural Economy. We’ll look at EAFRD and LEADER funding and the range of support available for rural businesses through the D2N2 Growth Hub.

The event will consist of the main conference and workshops focussing on developing proposals from 10am to 12:30, a networking lunch from 12:30 – 1:15 and from 1:15 to 2pm the workshops will re-run giving the delegates the opportunity to find out a second type of support.

If you would like to attend the themed workshops, including tourism infrastructure, food processing, business development grants and LEADER funding, please register for an admission ticket and choose a morning and/or an afternoon workshop.

D2N2 ERDF Workshop - Nottingham and Nottinghamshire

D2N2 European Regional Development Fund Opportunities

Supporting organisations to make successful applications to the ERDF programme in D2N2.

With the current ERDF Priority Axis 4 Low Carbon Call, and further ERDF calls planned throughout 2017 Nottinghamshire County Council, in partnership with the D2N2 LEP, will be hosting a free workshop on Wednesday 16 February 2017 at the National Civil War Centre, in Newark.

The event will include inputs from the D2N2 LEP and led by the Technical Assistance project in N2 (Nottingham and Nottinghamshire) providing examples of organisations that are currently managing projects supported by the European Regional Development Fund.

The workshop is designed to support organisations with their applications to deliver projects that will support economic growth and a shift to a Low Carbon economy across D2N2 LEP in the following areas:

  • Enhancing the competitiveness of small and medium sized enterprises.
  • Promoting Research and Innovation
  • Enhancing access to, and use and quality of, Information and Communications Technology.
  • Supporting the shift to a low carbon economy

An Agenda will be sent out with joining instructions a few days before the event.

Supporting Nottingham's Young People into the Labour Market - ESF YEI Workshop

In light of the recent ESF DWP open calls in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, D2N2 held a workshop in Nottingham in February 2017. This was free to attend and included over 30 skills and training organisations.

The event gave information on the local strategic priorities for the D2N2 ESF programme and were designed to support potential applicants interested in applying to deliver the ESF Youth Employment Initiative programme: 'Supporting Nottingham's Young People into the Labour Market

D2N2 LEP ERDF PA4 TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE WORKSHOP - Supporting the shift towards a low carbon economy

In anticipation of the future ERDF Priority Axis 4 Low Carbon Call, D2N2 LEP held a free workshop on Wednesday 16 November 2016 at the Enterprise Centre, University of Derby in Derby.

The event included inputs from the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) in addition to local projects that are currently managing low carbon projects supported by the European Regional Development Fund.

The workshop was designed to support organisations in this planning phase to develop potential applications to deliver projects that will support the shift towards a low carbon economy across D2N2 LEP in the following areas:

  • Promoting the production and distribution of energy derived from renewable resources.
  • Promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy use in enterprises.
  • Supporting energy efficiency, smart energy management and renewable energy use in public infrastructure, including in public buildings, and in the housing sector.
  • Promoting low carbon strategies for all types of territories, in particular for urban areas, including the promotion of sustainable multimodal urban mobility and mitigation-relevant adaptation measures.
  • Promoting research, innovation and adoption of low carbon technologies.

D2N2 ERDF Early Call Surgery - May 6 2014

4 ERDF surgeries were held in various locations across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire in April and May 2015. The events were supported by DCLG and D2N2 to help organisations develop their ideas for bids, understand the key application / assessment processes and learn more about the strategic priorities for the ESIF 2014-2020 programme in the D2N2 area.
